Mission Bound

It has been an amazing year! I cannot believe it has already come and gone so quickly. My life has been turned upside down and back again and I wouldn’t trade any minute of it. Now on to the next big adventure of 2012…Houston, Texas!

The time has finally come…I cannot believe it! I am a ball of emotions, but all in all I am pretty dang excited…I keep getting the question..Have you packed yet? HAHA not a chance, I am sure come Tuesday right before we have to leave for the airport I will be trying to cram things into my bag. :] Everyone keeps telling me, just remember, you only get TWO suitcases..only TWO! For 18 months..oh boy…I am going to need just one suitcase full of hairspray so I can keep up with the people in Texas! :] maybe I just should invest in a bump it..

Well with my bags empty [everything laid out on the dinning room table] and my heart full of love, joy and butterflies, I prepare to leave. I am grateful for this opportunity I have been given to serve. It has been a long journey and I am so grateful for all my many blessings and for all the love and support I received. I cannot wait to get to Texas and start a dust cloud. Make sure to live today and not wait until tomorrow. There is so much in store for each one of us and if we wait till tomorrow we risk missing out on something amazing.

“One day each of us will run out of tomorrows. Let us not put off what is important.”

Thomas S. Monson

I love you all very much!

Love, Katie [soon to be Sister Phillips] :]

My New Years goals:

* To lose myself in the service of others. The time has now come for me to forget myself and go to work.

* Make a difference in someone life. Weather it be teaching the gospel or sharing a smile, I would like to make a difference.

* To perfect my big hair.. haha :]
